Updated 15/6/26

OVERVIEW

This document outlines the terms specific to the Auntie Mog’s Cat Care cat sitting service, and is intended to be in addition to the general Attic Mirror website terms. Within this document, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Auntie Mog’s Cat Care.

SECTION 1 – DEFINITIONS

“Cat Owner” means a person that wishes to make a booking with our service and who seeks Cat Sitter Services; and

“Cat Sitter Services” means any services offered through us including but not limited to, pet sitting, house sitting and related services to be agreed on.

SECTION 2 – SERVICES

The Service allows for Cat Owners to arrange for the provision of Cat Sitter Services. All booking requests are subject to acceptance by us, and we are not obliged to accept any request and may decline for any reason. However, once a booking has been agreed on, both we and the Cat Owner agree to honour the price and other terms of that booking.

SECTION 3 – PERSONAL INFORMATION

Your submission of personal information through the site is governed by our Privacy Policy.

SECTION 4 – CAT OWNER COMMITMENTS

Cat Owners must agree to the following:

  • that it is their own responsibility to ensure that they have appropriate insurance policies in place covering home, possessions and pets, and that these still apply under the relevant circumstances.
  • to hold to the agreement made with the Cat Sitter.
  • to provide the Cat Sitter with any necessary information relating to your pet(s) and household, including but not limited to:
    • medical conditions
    • dietary requirements
    • behavioural issues (e.g. inappropriate toileting)
    • details of each cat or other pet requiring care
    • veterinary details in case of an emergency
  • to be reasonably contactable in case of queries etc. relating to the booking.
  • to make payment before the booking commences.
  • to bear the cost of any emergency veterinary care that may be needed, and to reimburse the Cat Sitter if they are required to pay for any such care.

SECTION 5 – CAT SITTER COMMITMENTS

The Cat Sitter will:

  • carry out all services as reasonably required by the Cat Owner, these may include:
    • feeding
    • water change
    • scooping litter trays (the Cat Sitter will not usually do a full change/clean unless they deem it necessary)
    • interaction (e.g. cuddles and playing)
    • cleaning cat-related messes (e.g. tracked litter, vomit, inappropriate toileting)
    • administering pills and/or medicine

    • taking inside parcels that have been left outside
    • answering the door when present in case of deliveries
  • carry out the services to the best of their abilities.
  • stay at least 20 minutes for each visit, or as long as it takes to carry out their duties if this exceeds 20 minutes. (Shorter stays can also be agreed if 20 minutes is not needed; e.g. if pets are shy and the Cat Owner would prefer the Cat Sitter to have minimal contact.)
  • take and send a photo of each pet per visit (unless any pets are too well hidden to find, or if any outside-going pets are absent for the duration of the visit).
  • take reasonable care to prevent indoor pets from escaping.
  • attempt to contact the Cat Owner in any emergency situation, but may make care decisions on their behalf if they are unreachable. The pet’s well-being will be prioritised in any such situation.
  • for a first time booking, the Cat Sitter will visit ahead of the booking to meet the Cat Owner and pet(s) to ensure all parties are happy with the arrangement.
  • visit (or meet with the Cat Owner elsewhere) to collect key(s) ahead of the booking.
  • visit to drop off key(s) after the booking (unless agreed otherwise).

The Cat Sitter will not:

SECTION 6 – CANCELLATIONS

A booking may be cancelled by either the Cat Sitter or the Cat Owner at any time up until payment has been made without any charge.

If the Cat Owner wishes to cancel after payment has been made, the payment will be refunded less any non-refundable fees that may be incurred with the payment provider.

If the Cat Owner wishes to cancel after the booking has commenced, the Cat Sitter is not obliged to refund any of the payment, but may do so in part at their discretion depending on circumstances.

SECTION 7 – DISPUTES

If the Cat Owner is unhappy with the Services in any way, they are encouraged to discuss this informally with the Cat Sitter. In the event that no resolution is reached, the Cat Owner and Cat Sitter shall discuss and agree on how to proceed.

SECTION 8 – CHANGES TO THE TERMS

We may review and update these terms from time to time; this will usually be for the purposes of clarity or to cover omissions. Cat Owners will be encouraged to review them if they have changed at any time between bookings.
